SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and more info there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The assistance stage established for intervention experiences a significant SRD inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
